TYPES OF EXTENSIONS
sew-in
(aka wefts, genius wefts, invisible wefts, hand-tied wefts, beaded row)
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE:
hair purchased every ~10 months;
same hair is fully removed and installed every ~8 - 10 weeks
APPOINTMENT LENGTH (full head): 1 - 3 hours
PRICE RANGE: $$$
DOWNSIDES / RISKS:
- a few tape-ins or k-tips may be required near the top of the head if the client has extremely short natural hair (cheekbone height or shorter)
tape-ins
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE:
hair purchased every ~5 months;
same hair is fully removed and installed every ~4 weeks
APPOINTMENT LENGTH (full head): 3 - 4 hours
PRICE RANGE: $$$$
DOWNSIDES / RISKS:
- can be ouchy to remove, no matter how gentle and careful; not recommended for "tender-headed" clients
- adhesive can shift out of the bond point and get tacky towards the end of your appointment cycle
- lots of hair must be installed to avoid a stringy look; not recommended for a full head installation
* Helpful to conceal extremely short hair at the top of the head, as they are extremely invisible and slim
k-tips
(aka keratin bonds, hot fusion)
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE:
hair purchased every appointment;
old hair fully removed and fresh hair installed every ~10 weeks
APPOINTMENT LENGTH (full head): 4 - 10 hours
PRICE RANGE: $$$$$$
DOWNSIDES / RISKS:
- new hair must be purchased at every appointment
- common to shed pieces throughout your wear
- very difficult to detangle and style as the bonds grow away from the root towards the end of your appointment cycle
* Popular because some stylists will allow clients to go excessively long between appointments; this is NOT SAFE for your scalp or hair. it is NOT recommended to go longer than 12 weeks between appointments for any method.
nanos
(aka nano links, micro links, individual links, individual beads)
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE:
hair purchased every ~6 months;
same hair is fully removed and installed every ~8 weeks
APPOINTMENT LENGTH (full head): 3 - 4 hours
PRICE RANGE: $$$
DOWNSIDES / RISKS:
- common to shed pieces throughout your wear
- lots of hair must be installed to avoid a stringy look
- if installed very high, harder to hide than tape-ins or k-tips

ROADMAP
01. pre-visit planning
We will establish an appointment time for your extension install - everything is just penciled in until you are 100% happy with the locked-in quote and plan.
I will guide you through choosing the perfect method (sew-in, tape-ins, k-tips, or nanos) for your natural hair, lifestyle, and final vision.
I will select your custom shade, quantity, and texture.
02. invoice & confirmation
I will send you an invoice with:
- Your exact day-of quote
- A due date to pay for 50% of the extension hair cost
- A summary of your ordered shade, quantity, and texture
Once your invoice has been paid, your appointment time is firmly locked in and all you have to do is relax and wait. I will order the hair and have it waiting for you.
03. appointment day
You will receive an email one week before your appointment with last-minute helpful info (parking, hair prep, etc).
Your installation will include custom colouring and shaping (cutting) your extensions.
On the day of your installation, I will be explaining how I am customizing your placement for your hair and lifestyle; what exact home maintenance is important to you; and what in-salon maintenance schedule is best for you. I will also be sending you an email within 1-2 business days to summarize anything critical we discussed.

One row. Adds natural volume + length to very fine hair; adds natural volume to normal or thick hair; conceals extremely short hair as an add-on to a Seraph or Archangel install.
